Birthday party at the park

We had a Little Einstein's party at a playground that just was put in this month. It is right across the street from where we live and I was thrilled to be done and just have to drive a couple blocks home. We were there from 2-4:30pm and although it was fun, we were exhausted. Next year we might have a family party. Lots of people came and Sam had a great time.

Here he is with his pal Jalyssa. She was like his little mommy all day. She took him on the slides and sat with him as they ate. She even helped open presents.

Sam's 2nd bday

Grandma and Grandpa came over for Sam's bday. We had pizza and Sam's favorite Banana's. Grandpa and Grandma gave Sam a Tractor and trucks and we gave him a Mickey Mouse bowling set. There was more to come the next day at his birthday party at the park. He kept calling the bowling ball a basketball. Every ball to him is a basketball.:)

2 year pics

We wanted to get pictures done for Sam's 2nd year. I didn't realize how challanging it is to get a soon to be 2 year old to sit down for pictures. We intended on having Sam wear his Chicago Bears uniform with Jacob's old football and helmet, Sam had other ideas. We did manage to get a couple shots with the football. The whole time he wanted to count the blocks and play basketball. Playing with the basketball with a football outfit on. He saw the basketball way up on the top shelf hidden in a basket. He can spot them anywhere. He yelled ball until he could get his hands on it. Then he kept on climbing down and telling us,"all done, all done." I am so glad that my montherin-law was there. The lady taking the pictures was loud and making strange noises, hoping to get Sam to smile. I told her to take it down a couple notches, that he responds well to you just talking to him. I said, Sam look at Mommy and say cheese." He did and smiled on cue.

Here he is 3 days old. This was his home for 2 months and we were so happy to walk out of there with him.

Sam is almost 2-Remembering

Last night was an exciting day in our house. Sam went number 1 in the potty. Yeah! First try at home and he did it. There was much clapping and excitement. He is almost 2, which seems amazing to me. My mother in-law gave me a couple of memory sticks from her camera. There were pics of my baby shower that was in St.Lukes hospital while I was there for my 4 week vacation(ha ha) My baby shower was three days before I had little Sam.

Broom Time

Sam is my little helper. He loves to sweep and my broom was too big for him, so we took a trip to Bed, bath and beyond to get him his own broom. I thought he would be happy with that, but he now wants both of them. Toddler's are so much fun!
